Debden Church Today
Christians have worshipped here for over 800 years and Debden Church is still the living thriving centre of Christian worship at the spiritual heart of the village community. A regular congregation of all ages meets for worship every Sunday at 9.15am. Major festivals and special services may be at different times.
Debden C of E Primary Academy holds regular services in the church. Pre-school children and toddlers (Church Mice!) meet monthly in the New Room, with their parents.
Details of all current services are displayed in the church porch and on the Services and Events page of this website.
We are committed to Safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Church of England’s website: www.churchofengland.org/more/safeguarding
Our Parish Safeguarding Representative may be contacted at church.
We aim to promote the mission of the Church – pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. We seek to build the church community and to maintain the church buildings and churchyard in a good condition, for current and future generations.
Prayer requests may be left on the board near the door; please be assured that these will be included in the regular prayers of this church. You may like to use this prayer:
Walk softly in the ways of God Listen gently to the voice of God Sit quietly in the love of God Pray humbly to the heart of God Act boldly in the strength of God Go forth in His name. Amen
